During the Radnor House Day the children raised money for The Book Bus, a charity founded by the publisher Tom Maschler. The Book Bus aims to improve child literacy rates in many needy communities in Africa, Asia and South America. On this day the children took part in a variety of fundraising activities for this excellent cause.

The children were invited to come to School dressed as their favourite book character and teachers certainly greeted a wide variety of characters at the classroom doors that morning. They also visited the Senior School library in the mansion to listen to a story and learn more about the role of a librarian. The highlight of the day involved the children welcoming their parents into School for a story session. The children will find out soon as to how much money they raised altogether. It was a hugely successful day for all and we hope we have raised enough to be able to provide many children with books and the inspiration to read them, making a real difference to their lives.
