Year 6 Trip to Ironbridge
Published on 16/10/17
Just before half term, Year 6 spent 3 days in Ironbridge as part of their studies on the Victorians. They participated in a challenge, which involved building cantilevers out of straws (stuck together with sellotape), visited the Museum of Iron, the Museum of the Gorge, Blists Hill Victorian town and the Ironbridge itself!
At Blists Hill they were able to experience traditional Victorian life and appreciate how things have developed over time into the life we lead now. Much fun was had at the fair ground!
On the final morning they created a piece of tile artwork, which will be placed in the kiln and we eagerly await their arrival at Claremont.
