U14 Paris International Netball Tour
Published on 02/11/17
During October half term (21 - 25 Oct), our U14A and U14B netball teams travelled to Paris for an International Netball Tournament. Considering this was the first time the girls had competed together, they demonstrated fantastic teamwork and cooperation throughout the pool stages.
The U14A team finished second in their pool with the highest goal difference sending them through to the quarter finals of the Cup Competition and the U14B team placed fifth in their pool taking them through to the Shield quarter finals.
The following day pupils trained with Super League and England coaches, including Tallisa Haynes from Surrey Storm, in preparation for finals day. This preparation paid off and after some exhilarating performances, the U14A team finished third in the Cup Competition, winning their final game 14-13 and the U14B team were announced winners of the Shield Competition following their 8-7 win in the final game.
Congratulations to both teams for producing some of their best netball performances seen so far.
Of course, a visit to Paris would not be complete without an exciting afternoon at Disneyland which the girls thoroughly enjoyed, bringing home with them a large number of Minnie Mouse ears as souvenirs from the trip!
