U11 Independent Schools Gymnastics Competition

Published on 14/11/17

The U11 gymnastics squad had an early start on Saturday 11 November as they travelled up to Stamford for the Independent Schools Gymnastics Association National Qualifying Competition. Claremont started on floor where they individually performed their routines. The girls demonstrated excellent poise and extension throughout each move making for beautiful and well-worked routines. Next up was vault, an opportunity to show how high and how far the girls could jump over an obstacle with control. The girls demonstrated superb power and secure landings to add some creditable scores to the overall team total.

Happily, the girls' combined performances qualified them for the National Finals! A fantastic achievement considering the pupils only starting training in September.
