Year 10 Equestrian Success

Published on 29/11/17

Year 10 pupil, Jess P, has achieved excellent equestrian success recently after being selected to represent Surrey as part of the Show Jumping Team for the British Show Jumping Association.

Jess and her team competed in the 1-1.10m class at the two day Academy National Show at Weston Lawns in Coventry. Following a sequence of clear rounds, Surrey qualified for an exciting final ‘jump off’ round which the team led from the beginning. Jess and her pony, Midnight Temple, didn’t knock a single pole in the whole competition and as this was the first time Surrey won the competition, it was also a great achievement for the county too.

Similarly, Jess has also competed in the Pony Club Championships (placing a respectable 13th) and a three day event during the October half term in Somerset where she qualified to compete in the prestigious Badminton Horse Trials in 2018.

We wish Jess every success as she prepares for further competitions next year.
