Year 2 Trip to Kew Gardens
Published on 01/02/18
On 30 January the Year 2 children had a wonderful day out exploring Kew Gardens. The trip was arranged to develop the children’s understanding of the links between art and nature as well as exploring how plants survive in very different habitats. A half day workshop in the Princess of Wales conservatory gave them the opportunity to see and experience a variety of desert and rainforest plants and to make their own work of art to showcase the beauty of nature.
Thankfully the weather was kind and the children were also able to enjoy a visit to a human-sized badger set and complete a tree top walk in the sunshine.
