England Regional Lacrosse Academy Selection

Published on 26/04/18

Five girls from Year 8 through to Year 10 attended the England Lacrosse Regional Academy talent pathway trials during the Easter holidays. The girls had continued to train following the end of the Lacrosse term and despite a few nerves, the group successfully achieved the first of three steps in the talent pathway towards being able to represent their country. The next focus will be selection for the International Academy.

This is a major success for Claremont Fan Court School, particularly as the South East is such a strong region for Lacrosse. Head of Lacrosse, Miss Georgina Harfitt commented: “Lacrosse at Claremont Fan Court is thriving and it is fantastic to see so much talent coming through. These girls thoroughly deserved getting into the Regional Academy and it is an exceptional achievement demonstrated by their hard work and consistent commitment to Lacrosse. Congratulations girls!”
