Year 4 Trip to Boulogne

Published on 21/06/18

Year 4 had a fantastic day trip to Boulogne-sur-mer to practise some of the French they have been learning in school. The first stop in France was at a Boulangerie, where pupils learned how to make bread and rolled the dough into the shape of croissants.

A visit to the Old Town of Boulogne followed after lunch. Pupils walked around the ramparts and visited the Basilica of Notre Dame before practising French in the local shops to buy souvenirs. Pupils also practised what they had been learning in class by ordering their own refreshments in French at a café.

The trip was a huge success and the pupils were able to get a flavour of life in France.
