The Young Enterprise teams faced their second round of the Company Programme competition in May as they attended the Surrey Finals, held at Guildford Cathedral. Our three teams; Coasters Combined, Reformed Retro and Time 4 Teeth had successfully held off stiff competition at the North Surrey Final, to qualify for this round and were full of confidence in their ability to make a good impression.

The Surrey Final brings together 9 qualifying teams from all regions of Surrey, who were asked to write a detailed company report, prepare accounts, set up a trade stand and make a 4-minute presentation to assembled judges, business representatives and parents.

All teams performed well and were praised for their enthusiastic and organised approach to business. Combined Coasters, one of our Year 10 teams, was awarded joint first place and are therefore representing Surrey at the South East Finals, to be held at Dorking Halls on the 15 June.

The work of Emma Wells, our Young Enterprise Link Teacher, was also recognised at the Surrey Finals with an award for outstanding contribution to the programme over the past 6 years.
