Published on 12/03/19
The Year 13 Textile Design students visited the Christian Dior Designer of Dreams exhibition at the V&A museum on the 26 February. The exhibition was amazing as it includes over 200 designs from 1947 to the present day, it traces the history and impact of one of the 20th century's most influential couturiers. The exhibition only opened recently but there are now limited tickets available as it has proved to be a very popular exhibition.
The pupils then visited the fashion and Textile museum to see Swinging London: A Lifestyle Revolution / Terence Conran – Mary Quant. The exhibition presented the fashion, design and art of the Chelsea Set in 1950’s London. Both exhibitions provided inspirational and exciting new ideas which the students can develop further in their exam project.
