Book Club

The Senior School Book Club was formed to foster the pleasure of reading and to allow pupils to share ideas and opinions about books. The club meets once every half term. Meetings are held in the Library at lunch time (picnic lunches are provided). The titles are chosen by votes from the pupils (Years 7, 8 and 9). The book is announced in the Library in good time for it to be purchased and read before the meeting.

  • Pupils can choose to join a meeting for each individual book.
  • Pupils buy their own copy of the book.
  • Book Club will meet on a specified date in each half term, to discuss the book and enjoy a picnic lunch in the Library.

Our local bookshop, Regency Bookshop, has very kindly arranged a 20% discount on any book bought for the Claremont Fan Court Book Club. Please visit their website to order.
