Our latest inspection took place from 24-26 January 2017 and was a combined inspection of educational quality and compliance.
The quality of the pupils’ academic and other achievements is excellent
The key findings were that the quality of pupils’ academic and other achievements is excellent, and that the quality of pupils’ personal development is also excellent.
This is the highest judgement possible under the new inspection framework and we are delighted that the report supports the experience of our pupils, their families and our staff.
Pupils are educated to a high level in accordance with the aim of the school to enable them to realise their full potential
Pupils of all ages show high levels of self-knowledge and an exceptionally high level of understanding of how to progress
The School also meets the eight Independent School Standards for regulatory compliance, including the Early Years.
On the quality of education provided inspectors noted ‘At GCSE in the years 2012-2015, performance has been above national average for maintained schools’ and ‘In the sixth form, A-level results in the years 2012-2015 have been above the national average for sixth formers in maintained schools’.
With respect to the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of pupils the report comments, ‘Principles and values are actively promoted which promote the personal development of pupils as responsible, tolerant, law-abiding citizens’.
Mr Jonathan Insall-Reid, Head of Senior School said: ‘We are very pleased that ISI has recognised the strength of our School. Claremont Fan Court School is an excellent school academically, pastorally and with a broad co-curriculum, which has all its policies and procedures in place to ensure safety and security for our community’.
