Looking Ahead

We are delighted that the master plan for our School has been approved unanimously by Elmbridge Borough Council at both local and full planning committees. Our holistic approach to improvements and restoration of the buildings and landscape were praised by the committee, ‘...the applicant has worked to deliver a high quality strategic plan for the site and this is rare in these cases.

There are many reasons for developing our facilities, including:

  • Improving pupils' safety
  • Modernising learning spaces and resources without increasing pupil numbers
  • Preserving our historical buildings, grounds and views
  • Reducing traffic along our neighbours' roads
  • Expanding co-curricular opportunities
  • Protecting our local wildlife populations

The master plan includes many enhancements to the School, such as:

  • Improvements to parking and traffic access
  • Extensions to the Joyce Grenfell Centre and science building
  • The construction of a humanities building
  • The construction of outdoor learning spaces for the Pre-Prep and Nursery
  • Improved classroom and play areas for the Preparatory School
  • Improved access routes between buildings and outside areas

The new Science and Technology building is a 50 week project expected to be complete by September 2018. The timelapse videos below shows the progress on site as construction takes place:
