PTA

All current parents automatically become members of the Parent Teacher Association.

Each year group has parent representatives who become involved in PTA meetings and help organise worthwhile and fun activities to foster our sense of community. The PTA also plays an important role in welcoming new families into our School. The School encourages strong links with its parent body and the PTA works to maintain effective communication between parents and the School.

Recent projects include:

  • A substantial contribution towards a new mini-bus for teams
  • Additions to the adventure playground in the Pre-Preparatory and Nursery School
  • Four outdoor table tennis tables
  • Furniture for outdoor learning in the Preparatory School

Where: JGC
Time: 6.30pm - 9.00pm

Christmas is just around the corner and, after an absence last year, our fabulous PTA Christmas Shopping Evening is back!

Our Shopping Evening gives us all a wonderful opportunity to get off to a great start buying those special gifts for family and friends.  Doors open at 6.30pm and stalls remain open until 9.00pm to give everyone the opportunity to drop in and enjoy a spot of shopping. There will also be a fabulous raffle with prizes from our stallholders.

This year we anticipate having a fabulous range of stalls for you with something for everyone including stalls specifically for our children.  We have over 30 stall spaces available. If you are interested in taking a stall, please let us know as soon as possible as demand is likely to be very high for this popular event.  Please contact Emma Clark, emma@pepperandclark.com or Cathy McGettigan, cathy@mcgettigan.co.uk to book a stall.  To give you a taster, in previous years our stalls have included:

  • Rock and Robes – ever popular fashion and accessories
  • Hemliv – home wares and soft furnishings seen in Vogue
  • Flax and Mallow – country garden inspired gifts and accessories
  • Arbonne – Swizz formulated natural skincare products for the whole family
  • Mine! London – beautiful personalised blankets and towels
  • Cretan Myron – top quality imported olive oil products

Meet with friends over a coffee or tea with mince pies.  There will be soft drinks for the children.

We are sure it will be a great evening and we look forward to seeing you there.

Directories

The PTA produces contact details for those parents who consent to use of their details. The Pre-Prep has a whole school directory and the Prep and Senior Schools have year group directories. Open Mornings

The PTA help at these events by serving refreshments. If you are able to help at one of these mornings please contact your year rep.

Further Activities

The PTA collect a variety of tokens (e.g. book tokens, sports equipment tokens) which can be left with the School secretaries. They recycle ink cartridges which can be handed in at the IT room or Mansion reception and offer discounted tickets for shows at Wimbledon Theatre. They also organise regular bake sales held at breaks, lunches and after school throughout the year.

Contact

You are welcome to contact the PTA representatives through any of the School offices.
