Queen Victoria's 200th Birthday Celebration: Mansion Tour
Saturday 25 May 2019, 11am-4pm
Tickets: £7 per person, please click here to book online
Venue: Claremont Fan Court School and Claremont Landscape Gardens
Claremont Fan Court School and The National Trust Claremont Landscape Gardens are joining together to host a celebration of the Bicentenary of Queen Victoria's birthday (24 May 1819).
Visitors are invited to join us for an afternoon of history and nostalgia. Guided tours around the Mansion are available at 11:30am, 12:45pm and 2.30pm. Places are limited and can be booked on arrival. Self-guided tours are also available for those not wishing to join a guided tour.
This is a rare opportunity to explore the Mansion which is not normally open to the public and retrace the steps of royalty. Please note - tickets for tours of Claremont Landscape Gardens are available via https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/claremont-landscape-garden/whats-on.
Queen Victoria had a nostalgic fondness for Claremont, often staying at the Mansion as a child and an adult. Her journals which were published online as part of HM Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee celebrations include more than 650 references to the Claremont Estate, over a 66-year period.
Refreshments and merchandise will be available to purchase at the Mansion (please note that we only accept cash payments). Guide dogs only. Not suitable for wheelchair users.
