As a part of our agreement with Elmbridge Borough Council to restore the Capability Brown landscape, a large area of Valley Field was cleared of self-sown trees over the summer. The new tree line is much closer to the original Brown plan and opens up views from the National Trust towards the Mansion. The School will be working with the Trust in the future to instigate further clearances on both sides of the boundary so that links between the parkland on the School side and the pleasure gardens on the other side are strengthened.

An area around Ice House Pond has also been cleared in preparation for dredging and replanting soon.
