James left school in 1991 with 1 A level. Starting as a bartender he progressed to a Bar Development Manager, responsible for opening a chain of 22 bars across the country.
In 2001 James no longer wanted to work 90+ hours a week so moved to sales. James started as a junior account manager at a lifestyle database company.
In 2003 he was headhunted into a more senior role at
Mintel – a global market research company.
After 7 years at Mintel and overseeing global accounts
such as Unilever, James moved to an online research provider. Between 2010 and 2019, he created and ran the fastest growing, most profitable team in Europe.
In 2019 he was suffering burnout from workplace stress,
so he started his own business specialising in delivering public speaking and workshops to help businesses and employees work to a high level, safely & sustainably.
