A level

Many congratulations to our brilliant upper sixth leavers who are celebrating stellar A level results this morning. At the time of writing, every student has been accepted into their first or reserve choice university.

With 60.5% of entries graded A or above and 87.3% graded B or higher, our successful sixth form leavers have every reason to smile with the dividends of their effort, having endured the toughest of A level journeys.

Their teachers have been unashamedly scrupulous with the assessment grades they recommended, and there is no doubting these results have been achieved through determined hard work across the two years.

GCSE

Year 11 pupils have been beaming with delight following excellent, well deserved, GCSE results.

59.5% of grades were 7, 8 or 9 (the equivalent of A or A*) and 96.5% of grades were 5 or above (B grade or better). With a pass rate, once again, of 100% it is little wonder our pupils were in such a joyous mood. Hearty congratulations to all!

GCSE

It was such a pleasure to welcome our Year 11 pupils back last August to award their GCSE grades, not having seen them in person since the previous March.

After a messy and stressful few months for all concerned, it was delightful to see such joy on their faces. Some will of course feel the injustice that they did not have the chance to sit an exam, but their grades were evidenced by the strong work and outcomes whey achieved when in school and are much deserved.

A level

We offer our sincere congratulations to all members of the upper sixth for navigating a tough upper sixth journey so well.

A level results day was one of mixed emotions last August. With 94% of our 62 students gaining places at their preferred universities there was much to celebrate, but for those students, whether or not they have met their offers, who have not been awarded the grade they deserved, it was a melancholy moment too. We are so very proud of all they achieved and will go on to achieve.

We have provided percentage details of the grades awarded in summer 2020. These were, of course, decided by the teachers and senior leaders based on evidence and data rather than actual summer examinations. Please click here to view.
