Y9 and Y10 Inter-House Debating Finals

Published on 03/04/19

The motions were very topical and the debating was lively, with all teams well prepared for the contest and able to field their first choice teams.  The debates were ably chaired by Ciaran S (Year 9) and Henry M (Year 10).  The occasion was highly enjoyable and stimulated much critical thinking on the topics concerned. The rebuttal in both debates provided the highlight, with the audience quick to respond to the cut and thrust of the speakers’ analysis of their opponents’ arguments.
