COVID-19 October half term update
Published on 16/10/20
As of Saturday 17 October, the Elmbridge Borough will move to a tier 2 high COVID-19 alert level under the new three-tier system. Claremont Fan Court School continues to operate in line with government guidelines and will closely monitor the situation during October half term and keep our school community well informed.
A detailed risk assessment focuses on increased hygiene measures and social distancing to ensure the safety of pupils, staff and essential visitors e.g. contractors, on site. Hand washing on arrival and throughout the day is required together with the use of the hand sanitisation stations installed throughout our school site.
During term time, social distancing is adhered to through staggered start and departure times, minimising movement between classrooms, additional classroom space and year groups and classes separated into ‘bubbles’.
Parents and carers are not permitted beyond the clearly marked drop off zones and must remain in their vehicles. Visitors are not permitted in the school grounds or buildings at the current time, unless deemed essential and pre-authorised by the school. Essential visitors will be directed by our staff to observe hygiene protocols and to respect the space of others at all times. All essential visitors will also be required to provide contact information on arrival for the purposes of track and trace.
