Pupils have been enjoying a variety of projects in Clay Club during the Autumn Term led by Art Technician, Charlotte Stockley. In September pupils were busy working with terracotta and stoneware, making small pinch pot animals for using as cane toppers for the garden and turning upside down pinch bowls with extruded stalks into toadstools.
During October pupils experimented with stamps and textures on sliced stoneware clay to make tiles and have also begun making Christmas decorations by rolling out earthenware paperclay and trying out different cookie cutters and textures.
Once dry, pupils then have the opportunity to paint their creations in bright colours before they enter the school kiln!
