Games Club

Published on 04/12/17

Pupils from Years 7-11 enjoy a challenge at the regular Friday lunchtime games club. Typical scenes include pupils munching earnestly on School packed lunches, fevered concentration furrowing the brows of players and occasional roars of delight as pupils pit their wits against one another in games of Chinese Go, Chess and Risk! And that’s not mentioning the frequent exchange of political views as Jude, Harrison, Alex, Ben and Nathan vie for world domination – in the game of Risk, that is. ‘I have three continents’, says Jude, who claims he is on the brink of victory. However the game has been running at least five weeks so far, so it could be that we have to wait until 2018 before Jude or someone else is declared the winner.
