Class of 1977-79 Reunion Tea

Published on 15/12/17

40 years after leaving Claremont School over 30 ladies returned to reminisce about School life and catch-up with old friends. The Great Room was abuzz as the ladies arrived. A number of attendees brought along School photos and memorabilia from their time at Claremont.

The afternoon included a tour of the Mansion, led by another former pupil and current School Historian Mrs Pamela Rider. Of particular interest to the former boarders were the old boarding rooms on the upper floors. Today these rooms are used as maths, English and modern language classrooms. After the tour everyone returned to the Great Room to enjoy an afternoon cream tea and a chance to sit down and catch-up with each other’s news.

“The day was so special to us all and it is testimony to the many happy years we all spent at Claremont. We all feel that Claremont has given us so much more than just an academic education but also installed compassion, tolerance, kindness and an open mind, which in many ways has helped us all find our path in life.”
