U9 Chess Tournament Success

Published on 01/02/18

Well done to Year 4 pupil, Rohan B, who achieved an outstanding result in the Wey Valley U9 Surrey Team Selection Tournament winning three games and drawing one out of five.  Following this result, he has been shortlisted for a place in the prestigious U9 squad to take part in the regional and national U9 county and area team championships later this year. We wish Rowan all the best in the forthcoming Wey Valley Surrey event on 25 February.

Meanwhile, in our ongoing Prep School chess championship, the lead has changed hands. Jessie M has managed to defeat Rohan in the 4th round.  She now holds the lead with Rohan in 2nd place, Aaryan K in 3rd place and Nina F in 4th.
