Study Day at the British Film Institute

Published on 05/02/18

A Level Media students attended the British Film Institute for a study day on Thursday 1 February to further their understanding about UK cinema, its production practices and its audiences. The day was led by the experienced media author and examiner, Mathew Hall.

Students were also privileged to see a preview screening of Ghost Stories and learn from Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman of WARP Films, the film's co-writers and directors. Once students had recovered from the jump scares in the film, they learnt about the film from an industry perspective and how to reach audiences. It was a very useful day indeed for our examination module as well as a lot of fun.
