Senior School Ski Trip 2018
Published on 19/02/18
During the February half term, 51 pupils and students set off bright and early to a new ski destination for the Senior School ski trip in Le Risoul in France.
This proved an excellent choice as it was a very French resort with only one English hotel, meaning the slopes were extremely quiet for a February half term. The group experienced a whole range of weather from clear blue skies and warm sunny days to temperatures as low as -18! The snow conditions were excellent due to the low temperatures at the start of the week and fresh snowfall after day 3.
The group showed excellent skill progression during the trip and all could ski the entire resort confidently and enjoy the slopes of the neighbouring resort, Vars. Many experienced the Olympic run as well as the world-famous snow park jumps in Vars. Evening activities consisted of ice skating, sledging, luge and the obligatory snowball fight against the teachers. A fantastic time was had by all and many are looking to come on next year’s trip to Serre Chevalier.
