Mozart at the Movies Concert

Published on 26/02/18

The Senior Orchestra and Senior Choir will be joining forces and giving a concert on Thursday 15 March at 7.30pm in the Great Room.

Mozart, the great melody writer, has long influenced the great melody writers of film music, including John Williams.  It seems appropriate that we perform the 8-year-old Mozart’s piece, Symphony no 1, which he composed during his London visit in 1764, along with film composers of today. The programme will also include popular songs and melodies you are certain to know from the world of the cinema and will offer something for everyone!

This is certain to be a sell-out concert and tickets will be issued on a first-come-first-served basis. Tickets are £5 (£4 concessions) and will include refreshments. Tickets will not be available on the night.  Please click here to complete the booking form and send to Mrs Sage in the Music School Office, along with your cheque made payable to Claremont Fan Court Foundation Ltd.

We do hope you will be able to join us for what will be a very enjoyable evening.
