Year 9 Hindu Temple Visit
Published on 19/09/18
On Wednesday 19 September, Year 9 travelled to Neasden to visit Shri Swaminarayan Mandir. Completed in 1995, it was the first authentic Hindu temple in Europe, and was hand-carved in India before being assembled in London. Pupils had the opportunity to witness a prayer ceremony in the temple itself, view the ‘Understanding Hinduism’ exhibition, and take part in a Q&A session. For many of our pupils, it was a unique experience for them and will provide them with new insight as they continue their studies of Hinduism in RS.
