Gymnastic Squad Success in the Netherlands

Published on 29/10/18

On the first weekend of October half term, the U13 and U15 gymnastics squad were invited to attend a gymnastics competition at The British School in The Netherlands. After a brilliant training session on Saturday morning at BSN, the girls enjoyed an afternoon at Duinrell’s renowned indoor water park and an evening of fun and games before the competition.

Sunday morning bought nerves, apprehension and butterflies but above all, excitement regarding the upcoming competition. After a long day of superb artistry, composure, power and well executed routines, the U15s were rewarded with bronze medals for their excellent performances. The U13s held their own against tough opposition, missing out on bronze by 0.5 points.

The following day was spent exploring more of Duinrell before catching a flight home.

“For the first four-piece competition of the year, I am incredibly proud of the efforts the girls put in to prepare themselves for this competition and to perform with such confidence. Thank you to all the girls for an enjoyable trip full of endless giggles, dance-offs and handstands!”
