River Tillingbourne GCSE Geography Trip
Published on 07/11/18
On Wednesday 31 October, Year 10 Geography pupils donned their wellies and waterproofs for their physical geography field trip to the River Tillingbourne as part of their GCSE course.
Pupils demonstrated excellent teamwork as they collected primary data on the changing characteristics along the river’s course. Together they developed an understanding of how to use different instruments to measure changes along the river as well as how to ensure accuracy in their results.
The day also provided an excellent opportunity for pupils to see the fluvial landforms and processes studied in the classroom in a real-life context as well as a chance to enjoy the beautiful autumnal sunshine.
It was a very successful and enjoyable trip for all involved and pupils showed great enthusiasm and impeccable behaviour throughout the day.
