A Level Literature Conference

On Monday 26 November, Mrs Wilby accompanied four A level Literature students to a conference in London. It was a most interesting day in which students were treated to five lectures from the lead exam marker at OCR, a professor at Royal Holloway College and a theatre director.
Students learnt how to answer an examination question that showed originality and flair, essential if an A* is required. Detailed analysis of the misogynistic societies of Webster and Shakespeare were explored through the writers’ use of language and how to interpret a play without stage directions proved to be very entertaining.
