Nursery Zoom to the Moon
Published on 21/01/19
Nursery children have been zooming to the moon with the topic of space this term. There have been lots of space-themed activities set up in Rabbit and Squirrel class: black sparkly playdough, moon dust and stars, space puzzles and much more! The children transformed into astronauts, exploring the role-play areas of a space station and a large rocket. As part of the 'Whatever Next' key text, the children made their very own junk-model rockets, and talked about how these would fly to the moon and other planets. Teachers have also begun to introduce Phase 2 phonics which involves looking at a new sound each week through lots of fun games and songs. What a moon-tastic start to the spring term!
