Year 1 Science Museum Visit
Published on 11/02/19
Year 1 have immersed themselves in Science this half term, culminating in a fantastic school trip to the Science Museum.
The children watched water fall from a large bucket into smaller pools in the Water Zone first, learning how water travels and the science behind floating and sinking. Then it was on to the building area where Year 1 enjoyed finding the right tools for specific jobs, learning how to balance different objects. The Eyes and Ears Zone engaged the children's senses, studying reflections, rhythms and understanding how sound travels. Finally, a visit to The Pattern Pod provided a multi-sensory gallery where the children became curious and explored patterns in our world, identifying different patterns and how they can change.
Overall it was a fantastic trip, fuelling curiosity and excitement for Science.
