World Book Day Prose Recitation Competition

Published on 08/03/19

The World Book Day celebrations began with the final of the Prose Recitation, an annual event, held in the Great Room of the Mansion. The room was a colourful array of fabulous World Book Day costumes with the 11 class finalists waiting in eager anticipation to perform for a chance to win either the Junior or Senior category. With passages from well known classics like Swallows and Amazons to more contemporary books like Tom Gates, all the finalists performed to a very high standard.

After some deliberation, the judges awarded the following prizes:

Junior Prize: Abigail F
Senior Prize: Henry T
Outstanding Performance: Freya C
