Year 4 Visit Hindu Temple

Published on 01/05/19

As part of their religious studies work on Hinduism, Year 4 visited the Sri Raja Rajeswari Amman Temple in Stoneleigh to learn about how this place of worship is used by the local Hindu community. Children were able to see the priest performing his duties amongst the intricately crafted statues of the gods and enjoyed an informative guided tour with plenty of opportunity for questions. Pupils also watched an interesting video about a Hindu festival involving 6000 people in a celebratory procession through the streets.

The children represented the school beautifully with their calm and respectful behaviour throughout the visit.
