Nursery Visit Chessington Zoo

Published on 12/06/19

On Tuesday 11 June, twenty six very excited Nursery children and nineteen grown-ups (who were just as excited) set off for Chessington World of Adventures. The visit began with a Gruffalo ride where the children were amazed to see this much loved story come to life in front of their eyes. After looking at the different jungle animals as part of our topic ‘Animal Kingdom’, the children got to travel on a safari jeep that took us to within just a few metres of giraffes, rhinos and zebras! The ride was very bumpy and the children enjoyed travelling through the cave and waterfall at the end, we felt like real life jungle explorers! Our animal spotting did not stop there as we made our way over to the lion and gorilla enclosures. The children were excited to see these animals just the other side of the glass, and found the cheeky gorillas especially funny! This trip was a perfect way to celebrate a lovely year in Nursery and it could not have happened without our wonderful supportive parents. What an adventure!
