Year 11 pupil wins UK Young Fashion Designer competition

Congratulations to Daisy N (Year 11), who won the GCSE category at the Young Fashion Designer competition for the South of England at Kent College on Saturday 29 June. Young Fashion Designer UK is an exciting competition, focusing on enhancing the talent of young fashion designers to showcase and promote the exceptional work achieved at GCSE, A level, and pupils aged 11-14 studying textile design and fashion throughout the United Kingdom. The bi-regional competition is hosted by centres in the South and the Midlands who are each committed to providing a platform for young fashion designers. There were 175 entrants for the GGSE category and 9 in the final. Daisy was interviewed by the 3 different judges from industry about her design work and was awarded first prize, receiving a portfolio carrying case and a mannequin. Daisy has produced some truly excellent work and is a deserving winner.
