Year 10 complete Duke of Edinburgh bronze award

Published on 10/10/19

On Monday 7 October, 72 slightly cold and damp Year 10 pupils successfully completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh expedition in the Surrey Hills. They demonstrated high levels of resilience and determination throughout the two day expedition, successfully navigating their way to and from the campsite using maps and compasses. Pupils also put their tent assembling skills to the test and cooked meals for themselves (some more appetising than others!).

The instructors commented on how independent and reliable pupils were, and we hope that many of them will now continue working towards their silver Duke of Edinburgh award next year. Well done Year 10!
