Published on 11/10/19

On Thursday 10 October, a group of enthusiastic scientists from Year 5 and 6 journeyed to the ExCeL Centre in London to attend the New Scientist Live exhibition. Pupils were able to visit a huge variety of scientific talks, stalls and experiences. This included seeing a gravity-defying jet pack suit in action, listening to a talk about the universe, exploring an operating theatre from the future and much more! Highlights included a virtual reality skydive, seeing a model of the Mars Rover and listening to real life astronaut, Tim Peake, talk about living in space! It was a busy and exciting day for all involved and there is no doubt that pupils came home feeling inspired by the power of science.
