Charity uniform collection in the Prep and Pre-Prep
Published on 29/11/19
Following a few changes made to the girls’ uniform in the Prep and Pre-Prep, two parents had a fantastic idea to run a uniform donation initiative for any old or unwanted items of uniform in support of two charities; Challenging Heights and RBS Foundation India (RBS FI). The school has also agreed to support the scheme by donating any surplus stock of striped uniform as well as any dresses and shirts held by the second hand uniform shop.
Challenging Heights is a non-profit organisation that works to protect children’s rights and end child trafficking in Ghana. The charity supports the education of young people as a method of prevention.
RBS FI drives RBS’ community investment and sustainability activities in India. The team strives to create platforms/programmes that enable financial and social inclusion and in doing so integrates and embeds a culture of sustainability. The Foundation currently works across 11 states in India supporting over 91,000 families in nearly 700 villages. These interventions directly contribute towards meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
We are delighted to be able to support these charities by way of uniform donations. So far 312 pieces of uniform have been kindly donated with the first collection from Challenging Heights due on 2 December.
Both the Prep and Pre-Prep school offices will continue to collect any unwanted summer dresses and/or striped shirts until Friday 6 December.
