Y10 personal safety workshop
Published on 13/02/20
Year 10 took part in a personal safety workshop presentation this morning entitled #EpicFail, sponsored by Surrey County Council. The aim of the presentation was to educate young people about the risks linked to being a passenger in a car driven by a young, newly qualified driver. The information varied from statistical evidence (34% of young drivers will have an accident during the two years after passing their test) to personal testimonies, drama role play and audience participation. As part of the Year 10 PSHE syllabus topic on personal safety, the workshop gave an excellent range of advice and strategies for our young people to follow as they begin to become more independent. A very moving and valuable experience that will last long in our memories.
