Published on 06/03/20

World book day celebrations were kick started with the Prep School’s annual prose reading final on Thursday 5 March. It was fantastic to see the JGC full of colourful storybook costumes as pupils listened intently to the finalists read extracts from their chosen books. Each finalist delivered their piece with wonderful animation and confidence, making the the decision to pick winners very difficult for the judges. After a lengthy deliberation, the following prizes were awarded:

  • JUNIOR PRIZE: Dexter T, Demon Dentist by David Walliams
  • SENIOR PRIZE: Adeline I, The Beast of Buckingham Palace by David Walliams
  • OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE: Lola C, Anne Frank – The Diary of a Young Girl

Congratulations to all our finalists and also to those who took part in earlier rounds of the competition.
