Claremont reach Society of Heads rugby 7s semi-final

Published on 11/03/20

A young squad was fielded for the Society of Heads U18s rugby 7s tournament at the London Irish training ground in Hazelwood on the Wednesday 4 March, with our Y13s focused on mock exams. During the pool stages the team faced hosts LVS Ascot, Reading Blue Coat and Dover College, winning two of the three matches to qualify for the cup knock out stages. Despite a strong defensive effort, Claremont lost their wet and windy semi-final match against Reeds School. Overall the boys demonstrated great character, skill and enthusiasm throughout despite their inexperience – a fantastic way to kick start their 2020 7s campaign. Congratulations also go to Jake W named player of the tournament.
