How Mr Gladstone's protective face shields are supporting the NHS
Published on 24/04/20
From the 130 protective face shields made by Mr Gladstone for St Thomas’s hospital, 20 of them were distributed to the community neuro-rehabilitation team who care for patients in their homes receiving treatment for strokes, Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis. Some members of this team have also been deployed to the Nightingale hospital in London and to the pandemic multi-agency response unit. We are so pleased to hear that Mr Gladstone’s face shields are helping to keep both patients and staff safe during this very challenging time.
The photos show a group of NHS staff at St Thomas’s hospital modelling the donated face shields.
For those interested in supporting key workers during the coronavirus pandemic, the Claremont Fan Court community has launched a Claremont 4 Carers fundraising campaign in support of our local Princess Alice Hospice.
