A level textile and product design students visited the Design Museum to see The Waste Age: What can Design do? exhibition on 26 November. The exhibition showcased some of the visionary designers who are reinventing our relationship with waste. They are finding the lost value in discarded rubbish and imagining a future of clean materials and a circular economy which could point the way out of the Waste Age. The students were able to view a wide range of fascinating and inventive design solutions. The textile design pupils then went on to visit the V&A Museum to see the Alice Curiouser and Curiouser interactive exhibition which explores how the Alice books have inspired the most creative minds of the last 150 years. It includes designs from iconic fashion designers Iris Van Herpen and Viktor and Rolf. Both exhibitions provided a diverse range of inspirational design ideas for the students.
