Pupils enjoyed a fantastic array of activities and adventures during Enrichment Week this year
Pupils enjoyed a variety of watersports in Costa Brava including paddle boarding, kayaking, windsurfing and sailing a catamaran. Pupils were also able to explore the sheltered coves and snorkel in the clear Mediterranean water. A visit to a local waterpark was another highlight, alongside evening activities such as bowling, geocaching, mini-golf and shopping in the picturesque local town.
Forty Year 7 to 9 pupils had a fantastic trip to Lake Garda, Italy. The week was packed full of fun activities, culture and plenty of gelato! Movieland and Caneva Aquapark were highlights of the trip including an exciting rafting tour through the bridges of Verona on the River Adige. Pupils also enjoyed a cable car ride, with breathtaking scenery, to the top of Monte Baldo.
Led by enthusiastic team leader, Matt, pupils were immediately immersed in well organised, interesting and physical activities in Torquay. Many of the activities were challenging and required nerve and teamwork, but pupils took it all in their stride without complaint. Many said they would like to go again!
Year 10 Enrichment
Year 10 pupils enjoyed hot summer weather for their enrichment week activities, including a visit to St Paul’s Cathedral, a treasure hunt around the East End of London, climbing to the top of the Spinnaker Tower and a spot of shopping at Gunwarf Quay. At the end of the week some pupils enjoyed a Duke of Edinburgh expedition whilst those not taking part in the programme volunteered at local community centres.
