The Big Breakfast Charity Event
Published on 08/03/19
It was an early start for the sixth form students this morning, who volunteered to arrive at 7am to provide a cooked breakfast for over 150 staff and pupils. The food, donated by Allison Risebro & Company LTD, CMB, Bidfood and Accent Catering was cooked in the Food & Nutrition classroom by students before being served in the dining hall.
There was plenty to go round, and customers were left well-fed and happy. Despite the early start, the sixth form students agreed it had been an enjoyable event and were delighted to have raised an additional £800 for their chosen charities: the MS Society and Challengers. This brings the total amount raised so far to £2,718.
The fundraising campaign continues with charity stalls at the upcoming House Day and the Walkorun and School Fair on 11 May, which the sixth form and PTA will be running together. More information regarding these events to follow.
