Exam results 2019-20
It has been such a pleasure to welcome our Year 11 pupils back today to award their GCSE grades. After a messy and stressful few months for all concerned, it has been delightful to see such joy on their faces. Some will of course feel the injustice that they did not have the chance to sit an exam, but their grades were evidenced by the strong work and outcomes whey achieved when in school and are much deserved.
We look forward to welcoming them back into school as sixth formers in September.
We offer our sincere congratulations to all members of the upper sixth for navigating a tough upper sixth journey so well.
A level results day was one of mixed emotions this year. With 94% of our 62 students gaining places at their preferred universities there has been much to celebrate, but for those students, whether or not they have met their offers, who have not been awarded the grade they deserved, it has been a melancholy moment too. We are so very proud of all they have achieved and will go on to achieve.
Exam results 2018-19
Our GCSE pupils are celebrating strong results once again. This year over 45% of GCSEs were graded 9, 8 or 7 (A* or A).
Our pupils deserve many congratulations for their hard work over the GCSE course and for their successes on results day. They have demonstrated how well equipped they are for stepping into A levels.
Congratulations to our upper sixth students. A third of grades were awarded A or A* and well over two thirds were awarded A*, A or B. We are delighted that our leavers have been able to access excellent university places in subjects ranging from medicine to engineering, costume design to teaching.
These successful results are thoroughly deserved by our students and demonstrate their diligent work and that of our teaching staff.
