Alumni fashion student visits textile design pupils

Alumni and Central Saint Martins (CSM) textile design student, Freddy Coomes, visited the textile design department during enrichment week during the summer term to show Year 10, Year 11 and A level textile design pupils the portfolio he created in his first year at university.

Pupils were impressed by both his work and the description of the textile design course at CSM. Freddy described the incredibly disciplined work ethic required to be a successful student at such a prestigious university for fashion and textiles.

Freddy also showed the students the website for the design company he has founded himself and explained how his company employs 5 factories across the world to produce his own collection.  Overall, Freddy was able to provide a comprehensive and detailed insight for those interested in pursuing a career in textile design.
