Poet, Kimba, visits Year 8 in celebration of National Poetry Day

In celebration of National Poetry Day, visiting performance poet, Kimba, came in to work with Year 8 pupils on Monday 11 October. He delivered workshops that involved performing his own poetry, before pupils were guided to write their own pieces and share these. It was great to watch pupils enthusiastically get stuck in and they produced some excellent writing. Overall, it was a very successful event that allowed pupils the opportunity to be creative and appreciative of other peoples’ work.
